How do you identify best methods to leverage strengths and delegate weaknesses? Your business consists of many moving parts. Sometimes, we have to get out of our own way to see the proverbial forest for the trees.

Once upon a time, I made a brutal assessment of myself and my business. I didn’t know how to effectively brag about my business. It seems unlikely that we wouldn’t know how to brag about ourselves, but it happens.

As a result, I hired a PR consultant to manage our press. I drafted documents our accomplishments, and my consultant nudged me to brag a bit more.

In addition, after reviewing the infrastructure of the business, we hired a management consultant to survey the team and determine the structure of the profit centers for the business and how to appropriately and effectively assign each team member.

Sometimes, it takes an outsider to see how we can achieve “next-level” results.
