Linda Rey

Linda Rey craves hearing about and celebrating business success stories. Her insurance experience spans 30+ years. As a previous insurance agency owner, Linda managed the Commercial Lines Department, new business development, agency branding and networking.

Her professional experience includes (in no particular order):

* Sales, marketing & branding strategies
* Insurance Underwriting
* Implementing management concepts
* Personnel Development

Linda cut her teeth in her father’s insurance agency in the mid-1980’s with a typewriter, carbon-copy paper forms and a mad dash to the post office to snail-mail applications via certified mail!

Linda was determined to blaze her own trail after college and start a new adventure. In 1990, she found herself in Atlanta and dove headfirst into a successful career. Guess which industry? You got it! INSURANCE. What a happy accident!

Linda’s new career was with a reinsurance corporation as an Ocean Marine Underwriter. After 9 years, she returned to Sleepy Hollow, NY, and re-joined her father’s agency. She assisted with technology upgrades, building the  brand and networking with community and business organizations to expand the agency’s visibility.

Chief Results Officer

In 2000, Linda earned her professional licenses including Life & Health and Property & Casualty Broker, and 6 & 63 securities licenses.

In 2009, Linda discovered social media and was hooked. Her talent at building business using 21st-century tools, alongside old-fashioned selling and networking efforts, resulted in an 800% increase in revenue.

In 2017, Linda exited the insurance business and with her partner, Trevor, launched Aurora Consulting, a Commercial Financing Brokerage to help entrepreneurs expand their enterprises with unique, cost-effective business financing solutions.

When the pandemic hit, the business shut down as Lenders scrambled with the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP).

As true entrepreneurs do, Linda Rey and Trevor pivoted and sought to help business owners learn the fundamentals of business financing and how to apply for the SBA’s Economic Injury Disaster Loan (EIDL).

They had enough experience with how to apply for a business loan, so their knowledge helped to enlighten business owners who were navigating the very confusing EIDL process.

Aurora Consulting developed a national reputation assisting business owners all over the country and helped to secure over $70 million (and counting) in disaster funding for small business owners to thrive beyond COVID.

You can find them on YouTube where they try to have fun talking about an otherwise very dry topic, that if it weren’t for props they introduce during their show, even they would struggle to stay awake.
